Bio
Victoria-based artist Illarion Gallant graduated from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in 1988, going on to study stone sculpture in West Germany. He has had an illustrious career as both a public artist and registered landscape artist, with his large-scale public art, usually fashioned from aluminum or stainless steel, featured in collections across Canada. The predominant narrative of his artwork builds on historic relationships between urban and natural landscapes.
