A unique mix of a biologist and artist, Saanich artist Erick James' pieces convey the wonders of the natural world. Holding a Bachelor's and Master's degree from UBC and an Honours Metal Certificate from the Kootenay School of the Arts, Erick has worked and studied in labs for more than 20 years and still finds wonder there -- it's this curiosity and excitement for the natural world that he brings to his art.
