Inspired by the surreal short story the Vulture by Franz Kafka, Every depth, Every shore invites a meditation on impermanence and regeneration.
An artist, blacksmith, sculptor, interdisciplinary craftsperson and educator based in the Slocan Valley, Lashen completed his training in the Sculptural Metals program at Selkirk College. He is one of the founding members of Blackbird Arts Society, a small collectively run non-profit organization working to facilitate collaborative processes and further dialogue within the industrial arts. In addition to the sculptural works, Lashen maintains a studio practice taking commissions and custom orders of metal artwork, furniture and toolmaking.
