Laurel Dinney

Victoria, BC

Patriarch of the Craigdarroch Goldens, sentinel of home and castle, this adored retriever is esteemed for his kindness, friendliness and noble comportment in the BC neighbourhood of Rockland.

Following a career that spanned nearly four decades in luxury cosmetics, Laurel discovered sculpting in her retirement. Her first sculpture was made during a 5-day course in 2019, led by Italian maestro Gabriele Vicari in partnership with Victoria artist and Sculpturewalk regular David Hunwick.
MURPHY Brave & Hospitable, her fifth project which was completed in 2021, is inspired by a most adored neighbourhood dog. Patriarch of the Craigdarroch Goldens, sentinel of home and castle, this adored retriever is esteemed for his kindness, friendliness and noble comportment in the BC neighbourhood of Rockland.
