A graduate from David Thompson University in Nelson with a BFA (majoring in sculpture), Denis has maintained an active professional studio sculpting in bronze and stone for over thirty years. Teaching the art and craft of sculpting is a fulfilling and rewarding experience for him, particularly when he sees the students’ excitement and enthusiasm when they learn a new technique or create a new piece.
